CTI Paper USA uses 100% wind power to protect the environment for future generations.

CTI Paper USA uses wind power in all of our facilities. We choose to purchase wind power for our corporate offices as well as our converting and distribution center to help protect the environment and reduce greenhouse gasses.

Here's how it helps

Estimated Annual Environmental Benefits of Our Wind Power Usage

Why We Use 100% Wind PowerWind Power
We believe that all of us should contribute to the health of our planet in as many ways as we can. We believe that renewable energy sources are important to our future. Our use of wind power, as a renewable energy source creates less air pollution, reduces overall greenhouse gas emissions and provides multiple benefits for our society and our environment.

Environmental Benefits: Electricity production is the main source of U.S. industrial air pollution. Fossil fueled generators cause 67% of sulfur dioxide emissions, 23% of nitrogen oxide emissions, and 40% of man-made carbon dioxide emissions. These emissions lead to smog, acid rain and haze and increase the risk of climate change. However, renewable electricity production causes zero or minimal emissions and is environmentally preferable.

Sustainability: Renewables are locally and readily available and naturally replenished. The use of wind power, and other renewable energy sources, preserves the reserves of non renewable fuels such as gas, coal and oil.

Energy Security: Greater use of renewable energy reduces dependence on foreign oil. Renewable energy projects use local energy sources and are smaller in scale, more dispersed and less vulnerable to disruptions.

Economic Stimulus: Renewable generators support local economies, create jobs, use native resources and localize electricity production. Energy dollars are spent in the local economy and not oversees, and renewable generators contribute to local tax revenue, fostering economic growth. Renewable energy technologies can be labor intensive, employing local personnel whose wages provide more income to the local economy. Agriculture and forestry often benefit.
